Ah yes, the slow route into town from my parents. The bit you didn’t do that comes after (over the bridge and onto the old railway alignment) is very nice, especially the tunnel and the bit alongside the Water of Leith.
Though it does take a good 10-15 minutes longer than just bombing it up and down the main roads. Two miles of downhill on the start of a commute to work is probably as good as it gets.
