postJust what have I been up to? - Me - 11th October
  • I went to a Western themed Murder Mystery party which was a lot of fun. I was the murderer and I got away with it! muhaha
  • My parents came up to visit and we went to the Balmoral Hotel for afternoon tea which was tea/coffee/sandwich/cake heaven in fantastic surroundings. Oh and we had a day in Glasgow as well.
  • I was attending a one day conference in Dublin for work, so Ria and I made a wee holiday of it and did some sightseeing. Lovely city, quite similar to Edinburgh. Thanks to the RyanAir sale our flights cost a whole £8.
  • I got promoted at work. Oh yes, I now have the word “Senior” in front of my job title.
  • I’ve signed up for evening classes in Graphic Design at Edinburgh College of Art. Had my first class last week which was mainly an introduction to Illustrator and admin with our tutor. They’ve got some nice kit: 22″ iMacs fully loaded with the complete Adobe suite. Should be interesting to see what I learn.
  • Ria and I are taking Ballroom dancing lessons at Dancebase. We’ve had five lessons so far and we’ve just got to turning in the Waltz. Trickier than you think…

  1. Senior Web Developer?
Sweet dude… you know you’re in the butter zone when they start putting ’senior’ in your title…. that or they’re acknowledging the fact that you’re getting on a bit…..

    ..hmmmm…

Looking forward to catching up with you two next week! hurrah!

  2. I was going to comment on the Flickr photos that you looked very, uh, “brokeback”, at the murder mystery, but I’m sure that helped you get away with it ;-)

You’ve been busy huh? Is there a long-term plan with the ballroom dancing or it just for the laugh?

  3. Brokeback eh?

Don’t think I’m going to becoming a professional ballroom dance any time soon :) It’s more just something to do as a couple, really good fun.
